Mrs. Cameron - Math and Science

(lcameron@washoeschools.net) holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Arizona with an emphasis in mathematics. In addition to teaching upper elementary and middle school students, she has taught gifted students in the Washoe County School District for ten years. 

She is happily married and has two adult children that are continuing higher educational degrees and enjoying discovering the world. In her free time she loves being outdoors including running (two marathons over the past two years), hiking, cycling, off-roading, kayaking, and camping.  She is looking forward to exploring earth science with her students and sharing her love of mathematics found in our world! 

 

 

(lsorensen@washoeschools.net) holds a Bachelor’s in Journalism and a Master's in Elementary Education. He has been a GATE teacher for seven years.

 

A Sparks native, he now shares the joys of Northern Nevada with his wife and two daughters (one of whom was born in June). In his increasingly rare spare time he enjoys hiking, cooking, reading, cheering on the San Antonio Spurs, indulging his nerdy side with games of Dungeons & Dragons, and diving into British TV shows.
