      • This report is best used in two ways:
        • As a part of your universal screening process at the start of the year to identifiy students who may be in need of intervention
        • To look for imbalances between the EWS data and interventions that are already in place.  Students at high/moderate risk may be in need of intervention.  Are interventions already in place for them?

    • The Early Warning System is designed to help identify students who may be at a higher risk of not graduating for a variety of factors including attendance.
    • This is a good tool to use at the start of the school year to help identify students who may be in need of additional support.
    • Note: The attendance component of this tool is updated at the start of the year and again after the 90th day of the year; thus this tool is best used for attendance at those two times in the year.
