This is Ms. Decker's fifteenth year as a teacher. She has taught math 7, math 8, math 7/8, algebra, ELA 7, ELA 8, special education (inclusion), resource math, resource English, credit recovery English, and a fun little class called "creative thinking". She loves both math and English and is excited that she gets to teach both this year.

Ms. Decker believes in having a growth mindset. Having a growth mindset means holding the sincere belief that everyone is capable of learning and improving in every area if they have the right attitude, work hard, and take risks. Mistakes are an important part of learning and should be honored. She believes that everyone can increase their intelligence, and she works hard to make sure her students to know they're capable of getting smarter and that her classroom is a safe place for mistakes.

She spends her free time reading, hiking, biking, knitting, playing board games and card games, sometimes dabbling in coding/programming, and learning piano. Just don't ask her to sing.
