Erica Maldonado M.S. CCC-SLP
I was born and raised in Sparks, Nevada. I received my Bachelor's degree in 2010 and Master's of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2012 from the University of Nevada Reno.
I have been employed with the Washoe County School District from 2012-present. I have experience working with most special education programs within the WCSD at the elementary, middle and high school levels. Additionally, I have worked per diem for private practice companies locally for almost 8 years!
I have training and experience in articulation/phonology disorders, auditory listening training, social/pragmatic language disorders based on the Social Thinking model, and receptive and expressive language disorders (i.e. reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary etc.). I previously worked with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing population and is proficient in American Sign Language (ASL). I value the importance of educating and building rapport with her students and their family. I have a true passion for working with children and adolescents.
When I am not working, I take hip-hop dance classes at local studios and I perform at events around town. I am a well-known popular creator on social media for dance and ASL music interpreting. I enjoy snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, basketball, softball, and spending time with my husband, our 2 kids, family, and friends.
