Badges for Substitute Teachers
Please send a photo to use for your badge to Suboffice@Washoeschools.net
Use the following criteria for your photo:
- A good likeness of your current appearance, taken within the last six months.
- Your photo must be a clear image of ONLY you (not blurry, grainy, or fuzzy) against a plain background.
- The photo must be a full face-and-shoulders shot, squarely facing the camera.
- You must use a portrait (not landscape) photo that is correctly oriented.
- You must be facing the camera.
- You cannot wear a hat or dark glasses.
- It must be in JPEG file format.

Classroom Management Training
Classroom Management TrainingAll new substitute teachers are required to attend classroom management training within the first three months of hire.Your Classroom Management requirement will be completed through STEDI, an online course at your convenience. When you have completed it, please email us a copy of the certificate, which will fulfill the requirement. The online classes are available here: STEDI. The primary class, option A, is $39.99; any of the three courses will satisfy the requirement.
If you are a former contracted teacher or current intern, please let us know; it may be possible to waive this requirement.
