Test Corrections

  • One of the most common questions I get asked is, "Can I retake an assessment?"

The short answer is, no... However, I encourage you to use your assessments to drive your review of material before moving on to the next lesson by researching concepts you missed, adding to your notes, and utilizing the Paper Tutoring feature if you feel like you're still unsure of things.

    ------------------------

NOTE:  Test Corrections are not currently being accepted for the following courses; Environmental Science, Health Science, Physical Science

To promote an environment of continued learning and improvement, Mrs. Cresci allows students to submit test corrections for Unit Tests. Test corrections should show evidence of understanding of the topics previously missed on an assessment.  The goal is to explain why the correct answer is correct by discussing the science concepts.  You will need to convince me that you now understand a concept that you previously missed.  Please review the guidelines below.

Complete the Test Correction Form for any Unit Test question(s) on which you lost points.  You must work with a Paper Tutor to review the question(s) you missed.  I will be checking from my teacher portal in Paper, where I can view a transcript of your support session! Since you’ve already gotten the question wrong once, use this time as an opportunity to learn the material and review for the final.  Be as detailed in your explanation as possible

    What is "Paper Tutoring"?

    General Guidelines:

    1. Test corrections can only be submitted for UNIT TESTS.
    2. You MUST meet with a Paper Tutor for a Live Help tutoring session in order to earn credit.  You will NOT receive any points if I cannot verify that the session took place.  (Be sure you log in using YOUR “washoeschools” login info, or I will not be able to award points.)
    3. Test corrections must be submitted on the official Test Correction Form.  They will not be accepted in any other way.  Submit the form as a webmail attachment to Mrs. Cresci.
    4. Students will receive up to half credit back for each well-constructed response.  Points earned back are at Mrs. Cresci’s discretion based on effort, demonstrating understanding of the concepts, politeness while communicating with the Paper tutor, and ability to follow directions.
    5. Students can only submit test corrections for each Unit Test one time.  No additional "tries" will be accepted.
    6. Final Exams are ineligible for test correction revisions.
    7. Test corrections must be submitted before taking the final exam.  Absolutely no test corrections will be accepted once the final exam has been taken.
